With working full time and raising children, I appreciate the pressures of finding that perfect work-life balance. That balance is rarely achieved without a plan and due to busy lifestyles, many do not address this until it is too late. The crazy thing is the amount of time to restructure your financial position to fund your dreams is usually much less than the time you spend planning a holiday.
Many have dreams and aspirations, and we get excited in assisting you design your roadmap to fulfil a prosperous life. You do not need to be wealthy or earn a high income and in fact we see more higher income earners owning less assets than people on half their salary. It’s all about planning, understanding your spending habits and strategically allocating your surplus cash to areas that will enhance your life for the long term rather than living from pay to pay.
Our approach to helping you achieve your goals are based on your current financial position and what you feel comfortable to do it order to achieve them. It is not based on over committing yourself or taking unnecessary risks.
I am a member of the Financial Planning Association and have completed studies including the Advanced Diploma of Financial Services, Diploma in Financial Markets, Grad Dip Fin Planning and I am a Certified Financial Planner.

I thrive on helping people make smart decisions about money so they can build and protect their wealth over time. I believe that taking control of your money is the first step towards financial freedom and am passionate about helping my clients to manage and eliminate their debt and build wealth while maintaining their lifestyle. Coming from an economics background, I love developing strategies to get my clients where they want to go. I help my clients set goals and achieve them, working side-by-side with them the whole way. I believe that good financial planning should balance “the now” while planning for the future.
FAQs
Below we answer your questions related to the consequences and benefits when using the services of a financial planner.
Yes, we can! We offer strategic debt advice which provides you with a structured plan to repay your debt in an effective manner. A structured plan will outline how much to pay towards each debt and when you are projected to pay off each debt. Or, if you have a timeframe in mind, we can provide advice on how much you need to contribute towards the debt in order to meet your desired debt-free timeline.
We do a wide range of advice, depending on your current circumstances and where you want to end up. Some of the common areas of advice are:
- Setting up a budget
- What to do with your savings
- Investment advice
- How to manage your debts
- Setting up your super for effective long-term wealth creation
- Making sure you are insured appropriately for your personal situation
Generally speaking, financial planning fees are tax deductible if the costs are directly association with earning assessable income. For an answer specific to your situation (and the type of advice you are receiving), you should consult a registered tax agent/accountant.
Good question! Financial planners are educated and experienced in ways to optimise your financial situation. We can answer questions like:
- How should I invest my savings?
- What do I need to do now, in order to retire comfortably later on?
- Will I have enough to retire in 5 years’ time?
If any of these statements feel relevant to you, then we would love to hear from you!
- I don’t really know what’s going on with my super/I need to sort out my super.
- I don’t know where my money goes each pay/I spend more than I should on things that aren’t important.
- I worry about whether I am going to be ok when I retire.
- I have money saved but I am not sure if I should be doing something different with it.
- I want to be better with my money but I lack motivation and need a money coach.
Like other specialist services, financial planners do come at a cost, which understandably can make people nervous to get started. We take the time to talk with you, get to know your situation before you agree to any costs. That way, we can explain how we can help you before you make any commitments or financial outlays.
Anything and everything that is relevant. In order to give you high value tailored advice, we will get to know you and your situation. Does it make you nervous to think about sharing all that information? Firstly, we are used to it and comfortable guiding you through the process. There is no judgement and at this point we’ve seen all kinds of situations. Secondly, your personal information is highly respected as confidential. Some examples of the questions we will probably ask:
- Your job and salary
- About your immediate family situation (partner, dependent children)
- Assets and liabilities
- Expenditure habits
- Plans for the future (purchasing a home or buying a bigger one, ideas around retirement if relevant.
Our fees range depending on the level of complexity of the advice. There are some useful articles available on the web which give you a good idea of average advice fees. You can expect to pay between $2,000 and $5,000 for initial advice. Whilst this probably sounds like a lot of money, there is a huge amount of work that goes into preparing tailored advice for each client. It is an investment into your financial future, and you can expect that the long-term benefits of our advice far exceed the cost.
